Elphoton, has developed a UVC-LED semiconductor module structure that can operate directly underwater. The design protects electrodes from corrosion and short circuits, enabling stable operation and potentially improving efficiency by up to 70% compared to operation in air. The technology is expected to be used in sterilization applications such as humidifiers, water treatment, and mercury-lamp replacement.
